Keys To Unlocking Overflowing Generosity In Your Church

Create A Generosity Theology

Create A Generosity Theology

Create A Generosity Theology

It all begins with the Bible. Locate 4-6 passages that scream the generous life in an accessible and engaging way then lead with them.

Disciple Generosity

Create A Generosity Theology

Create A Generosity Theology

A generous person is generous with every resource they have in their life. We are made in the image of the generous God with all stages of life having their growth opportunities.

Seasons of Generosity

Seasons of Generosity

Not every ministry season is reaping season. However, every season matters in growing generosity. Church generosity is affected by engagement more than anything else.

Lead Givers

End Of Year Giving

Seasons of Generosity

Not every giver has the same questions, dreams, or desires. Key givers need a pastor’s attention. You should never have to ask for money, but always be available to disciple.

Capital Campaigns

End Of Year Giving

End Of Year Giving

Capital Campaigns are still very effective tools for teaching the principles of above and beyond giving. Granted they need a fresh approach, but do not limit giving to the tithing principle. Overflow generosity advances visionary projects.

End Of Year Giving

End Of Year Giving

This is by far and away the most generous season of the year. Catching up on the budget is not the play during this season of giving openness. Your people will be looking for ways to make a difference with their resources.

Reverse Engineer Budget Planning

Most church teams create their budget prior to drafting yearly vision, goals, and a plan. Learn to reverse this process. You will see more unity, generosity, and speed up ministry development.

Above And Beyond Giving

Generous people are looking to be generous throughout the year. Usually, giving more to the budget is not very motivating. However, moving vision forward is. Have ongoing visionary opportunities available and communicated.

My Favorite Generosity Passages

Genesis 4:1-7

This is the very first story of the very first family and it centers around the act of generosity. Mind blowing stuff to consider the priority, centrality, and grace of giving to our faith and family.

Acts 4:32-37

The very first church unites around creative generosity and solves a problem in its city.

Isaiah 58 & Matthew 6

These two passages link prayer, fasting, and giving. Spiritual disciplines unlock unstoppable generosity.

2 Corinthians 8-9

The laundry list of organized generosity practices through the local church facilitated by its leaders is too long to mention.

1 Chronicles 29

David's personal generosity journey as a leader is both challenging and heart warming.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

Our best lives are on the other side of being a generous disciple.
